PSL Machinery has signed a landmark Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreement with the Government of Ghana through the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), marking a pivotal milestone in the development of Ghana’s cashew processing industry. The agreement was prominently featured by VnExpress, Vietnam’s leading mainstream online newspaper, reflecting the growing international recognition of this historic collaboration.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Andrews Osei Okrah, CEO of the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA); Her Excellency Florence Buerki Akonor, Ambassador of Ghana to Vietnam and Malaysia; and Ms. Alexandra Asiamah, Head of Chancery of the Ghana High Commission in Vietnam – together with the leadership team of PSL Machinery.

A key highlight of the VnExpress coverage was Ghana’s strong confidence in PSL Machinery as a strategic partner for its cashew industrialization goals. Representing the delegation, Dr. Okrah said Ghana selected PSL Machinery based on the company’s extensive experience, proven record, and advanced technological capabilities in the global cashew processing sector. The partnership directly supports Ghana’s national ambition to increase domestic processing capacity to 50-60% of the country’s raw cashew nut production in the first phase, with a long-term objective of achieving 100% local processing.

Under the partnership framework, PSL Machinery will deliver comprehensive A-to-Z Cashew Factory Solutions, covering the design and construction of complete cashew processing factories, green factory solutions with solar-powered steel buildings, supply and installation of advanced cashew processing machinery, technology transfer, workforce training, and full factory management and operational support. PSL Machinery will also implement an exclusive kernel buyback program to secure stable market access for processors and ensure the long-term sustainability of Ghana’s cashew value chain. This is the factor that sets PSL Machinery apart as one of the very few companies operating across the entire cashew value chain from processing to market.
Beyond industrial capacity, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to sustainable and inclusive economic growth. By strengthening local processing capabilities, the initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities, increase farmer incomes, attract private-sector investment, and build a more resilient agricultural sector across Ghana’s cashew-producing regions.
As the first enterprise to establish direct strategic partnerships with multiple African governments in the cashew sector, PSL Machinery will continue to expand its presence across key markets including Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, and Nigeria. The media coverage by VnExpress highlights the significance of this agreement and its potential to transform Ghana’s cashew processing landscape. PSL Machinery appreciates VnExpress’s coverage of this important milestone and its role in sharing the vision, objectives, and long-term benefits of the partnership with the wider international business community.
