PSL Machinery’s landmark Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Agreement with the Government of Ghana has been featured by VnEconomy, one of Vietnam’s leading business and economic publications. The agreement marks a significant milestone in the development of Ghana’s cashew processing industry and reflects the country’s commitment to expanding local value addition and industrialization.
The partnership was signed between PSL Machinery and the Government of Ghana through the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), establishing a long-term framework to support the growth of domestic cashew processing capacity across the country. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Andrews Osei Okrah, Chief Executive Officer of the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA); Her Excellency Florence Buerki Akonor, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Vietnam and Malaysia; and Ms. Alexandra Asiamah, Head of Chancery of the Ghana High Commission in Vietnam and Malaysia; together with the leadership team of PSL Machinery.

A key highlight of the VnEconomy article was the statement by Dr. Andrews Osei Okrah, Chief Executive Officer of the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), who expressed Ghana’s confidence and trust in PSL Machinery as a strategic partner for the nation’s cashew industry development.

According to Dr. Okrah, Ghana selected PSL Machinery based on the company’s extensive experience, proven track record, and technological capabilities in the global cashew processing sector. He emphasized Ghana’s ambition to increase local processing capacity and achieve the goal of processing 50 to 60% of the country’s raw cashew nut production domestically, with PSL Machinery playing a pivotal role in supporting this objective.
Under the partnership framework, PSL Machinery will provide comprehensive A-to-Z Cashew Factory Solutions, including solar steel building construction, advanced cashew processing machinery, operational management, workforce training, and an exclusive kernel buyback program designed to strengthen Ghana’s cashew value chain. The initiative aims to enhance local value addition, create employment opportunities, develop technical expertise, and contribute to sustainable economic growth in cashew-producing regions.
The media coverage by VnEconomy highlights the significance of this partnership and its potential impact on the future development of Ghana’s cashew processing sector. It also reflects growing international recognition of PSL Machinery’s expertise in delivering integrated industrial solutions for cashew-producing countries.
