In recent years, the cashew export market in Côte d’Ivoire has remained a key contributor to the national economy and has received close attention from both the governments of Vietnam and Côte d’Ivoire. GIC-CI, which represents cashew processors across the country, plays an active role in initiatives aimed at expanding local processing capacity and improving industry sustainability. The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on current challenges and future directions for cashew processing in Côte d’Ivoire and in the global supply chain.

Discussions focused on cashew processing technology, cashew factory capacity development, and approaches to increasing value addition at origin. Topics included the role of modern equipment in improving efficiency, product consistency, and operational scalability for processors in cashew producing countries.
