PSL MACHINERY MEETS THE GOVERNMENT OF TANZANIA AND THE CASHEWNUT BOARD OF TANZANIA AT GULFOOD 2026

During Gulfood 2026, PSL Machinery was pleased to welcome and meet again with representatives from the Government of Tanzania and the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania (CBT) at our exhibition stand.

PSL Machinery welcomed representatives from the Government of Tanzania and the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania (CBT) at Gulfood 2026

Following the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) cooperation agreement signed last year, PSL Machinery marked one year of effective collaboration with the Government of Tanzania and the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania. During this period, multiple projects related to cashew processing machinery and technology have been implemented, supporting the development and expansion of local cashew processing capacity. Building on this progress, our meeting at Gulfood 2026 provided an opportunity to continue discussions on future plans and long-term direction for Tanzania’s cashew processing industry. The exchange focused on the current status and future outlook of cashew processing in Tanzania within the context of global market developments. Key topics included the role of local processing in strengthening the value chain, improving export competitiveness, and supporting the country’s broader industrialization objectives. Participants also discussed market requirements, processing standards, and long-term capacity planning.

Tanzania has consistently been one of PSL Machinery’s leading and most important partners. This long-term collaboration underpins our focus on delivering reliable and advanced cashew processing solutions tailored to Tanzania’s needs. The exclusive PPP agreement provides a solid framework for our cooperation and supports our continued technical development in the cashew processing sector.

PSL Machinery’s representative met with Mr. Francis Alfred to discuss the current status and future of the cashew processing industry

Our representatives held detailed working discussions with Mr. Francis Alfred, Director General of the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania, together with senior representatives from CBT. Key topics included technical requirements for processing facilities, equipment selection for different capacity scales, operational efficiency, and considerations for future investment projects in Tanzania’s cashew industry.

Both parties discussed processing infrastructure planning and technology solutions for cashew processing facilities

In addition, the dialogue covered the role of technology providers in supporting sustainable industry growth, including knowledge transfer, technical support, and the development of processing infrastructure aligned with national policies. The meeting also reviewed progress since the signing of the PPP agreement and identified areas for continued coordination between PSL Machinery and Tanzanian authorities.

This engagement at Gulfood 2026 further strengthens PSL Machinery’s role as a trusted strategic partner for governments, industry authorities, investors, and processors worldwide, reaffirming our commitment to advancing innovation and developing a resilient global cashew value chain.
