The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Agreement signing ceremony between PSL Machinery and the Government of Ghana has attracted significant media attention. Most notably, the event was featured in a television report by HTV (Ho Chi Minh City Television), one of Vietnam’s leading television broadcasters.
The ceremony has been formally executed with the participation of PSL Machinery’s leadership team and the Ghanaian delegation representing the Government of Ghana. The delegation was led by Dr. Andrews Osei Okrah, Chief Executive Officer of the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), alongside Her Excellency Mrs. Florence Buerki Akonor, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Vietnam and Malaysia, and Ms. Alexandra Asiamah, Head of Chancery of the Ghana High Commission in Vietnam and Malaysia. This event has marked a significant milestone in bilateral cooperation and the future of the cashew industry in Ghana.

As part of the partnership, PSL Machinery will deliver the A-to-Z cashew factory solutions for Ghana’s cashew sector, including the construction of solar steel buildings, the supply of advanced cashew processing machinery, full factory management, workforce training programs, and an exclusive kernel buyback scheme designed to provide market assurance for locally processed cashew kernels.

This comprehensive plan is expected to support Ghana’s ambitious objective of increasing domestic cashew processing to 50-60%, with a long-term vision of achieving 100% local processing. By strengthening value addition within the country, the initiative aims to unlock the full economic potential of Ghana’s cashew value chain while creating sustainable opportunities for farmers through higher-value markets, supporting job creation across the processing sector, developing a skilled workforce, and driving long-term economic growth in cashew-producing communities.

As part of its coverage, HTV also conducted exclusive interviews with Dr. Andrews Osei Okrah, CEO of TCDA and Sir John Azar, Chairman of PSL Group. Leaders of both sides all shared the strong mutual trust, shared vision, and long-term commitment that underpin this historic partnership.

We are proud and deeply grateful for HTV’s recognition of this important milestone. The report highlights the strategic importance of the collaboration and its role in supporting Ghana’s industrialization agenda. Through this partnership, PSL Machinery remains committed to providing innovative and sustainable industrial solutions that foster economic development, strengthen local value chains, and create lasting value for stakeholders and communities.
